Marseille make £6.5m move for Arsenal target
Marseille are ready to fork out £6.5m to land long-standing Arsenal target Florian Thauvin.
The Stade Velodrome side have already failed with a £4.7m bid for the playmaker, who has yet to appear for Lille since signing for the club from Bastia in January.
He remained at Bastia until the end of last season and his reputation has soared even higher after he played a key role in France's Under-20 World Cup success in July.
Speculation that he could be on the move again without making a single appearance for Lille has rocketed after he was left out of their match-day squad for their opening day Ligue 1 win against Lorient on Saturday.
And Marseille are poised to ramp up their efforts to land him before the close of the transfer window.
