Gustavo allegedly loves Arsenal’s style of play
Bayern Munich’s Luiz Gustavo is being reported tonight as having said that he loves Arsenal’s style of play after he was linked in the German media with a move to the Premier League side.The quotes, which first appeared on Twitter earlier this evening, have started to spread which is why I’m covering them here on the site.
Gustavo is reported to have given the interview to Bayerischer Rundfunk Radio and is alleged to have said
I love their [Arsenal’s] style of play and I have been watching them for some time now.I am skeptical about these quotes for a number of reasons but mainly it is because of the quotes which the Metro published claiming that Gonzalo Higuain said something similar only for the journalist to later admit that he had fabricated the quotes.
However, like yourself, I do not know what is happening on the other side at this moment.
The people spreading the tweets don’t generally make stuff up but, again, I’m skeptical. Once bitten etc etc.
Luiz Gustavo was supposed to be close to a move to Wolfsburg but Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has been encouraging him to play at a club playing in Europe ahead of the World Cup in Brazil next year. Chelsea are also said to be interested in the player.
As for the quotes, I’ll let you make your own mind up about them.
Gustavo was left out of Bayern Munich’s line up tonight with a knee problem. He could also be suffering from transferitis which seems to be spreading amongst transfer targets this summer but that is unconfirmed also.
