According to The Telegraph, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger could be making a sensational move for former World Player of the Year Kaka. The Brazilian midfielder has not had the best of times since joining Real Madrid, and has recently seen Luka Modric and Mesut Ozil establish themselves as pivotal figures in Real’s attack.
Many expected Kaka to regain his fine form upon the arrival of new manager Carlo Ancelotti, who helped the midfielder enjoy the best years of his career when they worked together at AC Milan. At Arsenal, Kaka would only have the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Mikel Arteta, and Jack Wilshere to compete with, and would add much needed expertise to the Gunners’ midfield.
The Telegraph is also reporting that Arsene Wenger is lining up a move for Schalke star Julian Draxler. Draxler is one of the hottest young properties in Europe, and is one of the most creative up and coming German players coming through the ranks. At only 19 years of age, Draxler would be another young signing that Wenger has the opportunity to mold into a future star.
The Gunners take on a revamped Tottenham side tomorrow in the first north London derby of the season.
