Liverpool and Arsenal target Mathieu Valbuena has revealed that he is ready to leave Marseille in the summer, but that he will not make a decision on his destination until after the World Cup.
The 29-year-old playmaker has bee strongly linked with the Premier League giants of late as speculation surrounding his future increases on an almost weekly basis.
Marseille have already revealed that they could be open to selling their star man for the right price, but only if he wants to leave the Mediterranean coast.
This has prompted talk of a big switch to England to link up with Arsenal or Liverpool.
Valbuena says that this season will be his last with his current side, but that he will not be making a concrete call on where he will be at the end of the year until after the World Cup:
“I can only say that this is my final season here, but I do not want to talk about my future,” he is quoted by talkSPORT.
“Now I want make the best [season] possible with Marseille and my dream is to play in the World Cup in Brazil. Afterwards we will see.”
Valbuena is widely thought of as one of Ligue 1’s best creative talents, and has been a regular in his national side’s squad for some time.
