Arsenal Fc vs Sunderland FC - GameWeek 27 - English Pemier League Match Preview

Premier League returns this week after a week’s break. Arsenal having lost a long held lead will now be facing Sunderland FC at home. Bayern’s visit of last Wednesday has ended the first spell of tough fixtures for Arsenal and nothing but a victory will help ease the mood at Emirates.
Arsenal has been in a nose dive since their draw at St. Mary’s. They have not won a game since then and Chelsea has taken full advantage of it and has taken a slim lead of just one point. Chelsea and Manchester City face Everton and Stoke City at home respectively.
The Sunderland side is on the verge of relegation. Currently sitting 18th with 24 points in hand is not a very impressive record. They might be facing The Gunners at a very wrong time.
Arsenal’s run of poor form might just end this Saturday, after their display against Bayern Munich. The result was unfortunate but the Gunners gave it absolutely everything until the end. Arsenal looked solid in build-up but they failed to end what they created.

Team news for Arsenal is not very good. Kierran Gibbs might just add to long injury list. Rumor has it that Gibbs’s injury is not that serious and he might be available for Saturday’s game, but nothing is official as yet. Kim Kallstrom, Aaron Ramsey and Thomas Vermaelen are all sidelined.
For Sunderland, Steven Fletcher is doubtful for tomorrow’s game. Goal keeper Kieran Westwood remains sidelined, but Carlos Ceullar returns to play against Arsenal.
