Chelsea Jump in to Sign €48m Superstar: Battle with Arsenal

Mario Balotelli AC MilanWith the mighty Rossoneri not so mighty anymore lying way below in the Serie A. Milan may as well lose their prized asset Mario Balotelli.
The Italian striker has been in fantastic form for AC Milan but overall the side has struggled in the league and highly likely they will not be playing Champions league football next season.
In such a scenario, many top clubs are interested in luring the highly talented superstar and mainly premier league clubs want him.
Manchester City sold the hot headed Azzuri star last winter but this time, the London clubs are eager to lure him.
Previously it was reported by Metro, that Arsenal are likely to lure Mario Balotelli to Emirates with their new sponsors Puma helping them to sign the €48m superstar next summer.
Now the likes of Tottenham and lately Chelsea are also interested in signing the former Citizen star.
Spurs paid a hefty amount to sign Roberto Soldado last summer from Valencia but the Spaniard has been average and instead returning Adebayor has impressed.
On the other hand, Chelsea and Arsenal are both in need of a top quality strikers to add to their fantastic over all squads.
In all fairness, the battle to lure Mario Balotelli should be between Chelsea and Arsenal while Tottenham are clear outsiders.
Gunners and Blues look all set to qualify for Champions league next season whereas Spurs are 6 points behind the final qualification spot occupied by Liverpool.
If Spurs fail to finish in top 4 then there is no real motivation for Balotelli to quit Milan and be at White Hart Lane next season.
