Ex Premier League star could be set for return
Fabregas in his time with Arsenal, shortly before signing for BarcelonArsene Wenger and David Moyes will be on red alert this summer as Barcelona midfielder Cesc Fabregas may be reduced to a bit-part role with the Spaniards. Fabregas left Arsenal in 2011 to join his boyhood club and was a target for Moyes’ Manchester United in the summer transfer window. The Spanish international has been utilized in a more attacking role due to injuries to Lionel Messi and Andres Iniesta, but with the duo’s return, Barcelona coach Tata Martino has some juggling to do to keep Fabregas in the side. This is sure to alert managers in the Premier League keen to bring the 26-year-old back to England with Arsenal being top of the list to secure his signature. There is a clause which states whatever bid is accepted for Fabregas, Arsenal can bid the same and automatically speak to the player along with whichever clubs had a bid accepted. Fabregas has not expressed a desire to leave the Nou Camp but has also never ruled out a return to England and if he does not have a regular starting place, may decide to look elsewhere. He is a firm favourite with the Arsenal fans and still speaks highly of the club he was with for eight years, while he could be the signing Moyes needs at Old Trafford to push to reclaim their title.
