Bad news Arsenal! - Bayern vice-captain set for comeback to first-team training

Bad news Arsenal! - Bayern vice-captain set for comeback to first-team training

Bastian Schweinsteiger Injured In Bayern Munich Training
Bastian Schweinsteiger has been out since November with ankle problems - but is now getting back up to speed.
February is going to be both tough and exciting for Arsenal Football Club - with the words make-or-break already doing the rounds.
The Gunners are in their best shape to win silverware for the first time in a long time this season - but they know that the next three weeks or so are vital.
They face Liverpool and Manchester United in the Premier League, while they also take on Liverpool in the FA Cup.
But perhaps most daunting of all is welcoming the current champions of Europe to The Emirates on the 19th.
Bayern Munich travel to England for the first leg of the Champions League second round game with fond memories of their last trip to North London.
Arsenal know they face a team who are undoubtedly the best outfit in the world right now - and what they don’t need is to hear that they are about to get even stronger.
But that is exactly what is happening - as their vice-captain Bastian Schweinsteiger took a vital step back to full fitness.
He will join in full first-team training this week after coming through a vigorous fitness test on Tuesday - finally putting an end to his injury problems.
The imposing central midfielder has been out with an ankle injury since last year - and hasn’t featured for the Bavarians since the 5th November Champions League tie against Viktoria Plzen.
He has fully recovered from that problem, but a month ago he damaged his knee in his original comeback - so went back to the treatment table.
However he is now set to rejoin first-team training with Pep Guardiola's outfit. That means, with the first-leg of the Arsenal game in two weeks today, he might just be back in action for the game.
However, a word of caution for any Bayern readers getting excited - this is the players second ankle surgery in less than a year, and the hierarchy will be reluctant to push one of their favourite sons back to action to early.
