Arsenal star has told Arsene Wenger he wants to leave, agent claims

Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen wants to leave the Gunners, the player’s agent has claimed.

The Belgian, who is club captain, has been stuck behind Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny in the pecking order at the Emirates and has reportedly told manager Arsene Wenger that he wants to go in the summer.
His agent Alex Kroes is quoted as saying by Le10 Sport: “Thomas has told Wenger that he wants to leave Arsenal this summer.”
Napoli have been linked with his services, however Kroes denied this possibility.
“Are the stories true? What you’ve read in the newspapers and on the internet is unfounded,” Kroes told UltimeCalcioNapoli.
“Thinks that have been reported are not true, and I say this with full knowledge of the facts.
“Some outlets are beginning to speculate, but that’s all it is – speculation.
