Duo hand Gunners Euro boost

Duo hand Gunners Euro boost

Arsenal have been boosted by the news Mesut Ozil and striker Olivier Giroud have been declared fit to face Marseille this evening.
Duo hand Gunners Euro boost Giroud suffered a knee injury during Saturday's 3-1 win over Sunderland, while new signing Mesut Ozil also picked up a knock at the Stadium of Light.
However Arsene Wenger has now declared the duo are both fit for Arsenal's opening Champions League group clash.
Elsewhere, centre-back Per Mertescaker is also back in contention after he missed the trip to Sunderland, while Thomas Vermaelen (back) returned to full training last week.
Santi Cazorla, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Lukas Podolski are all on the injury list and Wenger admits he has concerns for his threadbare squad.
"The situation of the other players is we had some small knocks but for tomorrow they look okay," Wenger said in his pre-match press conference.
"But of course I am concerned because from now they play for two months every three or four days and it's important we get some players back because you cannot play for the next two months with the squad we have at the moment."
