La Liga star open to Arsenal return

La Liga star open to Arsenal return

Alex Song would consider a return to Arsenal, according to reports from the Daily Star.
The midfielder only left the Emirates Stadium last year, but has found first-team opportunities hard to come by at the Nou Camp.
This has led to rumours that he may make a January switch, with Arsenal and Manchester United both interested.
Song – who has made only three starts this season – is believed to be open to a move back the Gunners in a bid to get his flagging career back on track.
The 26-year-old is said to be desperate for regular action, but his path into Barca’s starting XI is firmly blocked by Sergio Busquets.
Arsenal have been linked with Song on a multiple occasions since his exit, and may be willing to offer him a path back to London this winter.
United are also keen, with David Moyes thought to be looking at midfield additions after a difficult summer on the transfer front.
Song is said to be willing to stay and win over Barca coach Tata Martino, however he is ready to leave if first-team opportunities are still limited at the turn of the year.
