Cesc Fabregas may end up back at Arsenal but not as a player

Cesc Fabregas may be back playing for his boyhood club at Barcelona but the Spaniard has admitted that he would love to return to the Emirates in a coaching capacity after he retires from the game. And Arsene Wenger has praised the midfielder’s desire to come back to Arsenal proving that he stills holds happy memories of his time with the Gunners.
Heaping praise on Fabregas, Wenger said, “I am very happy that a player of his intelligence, technical ability and knowledge of the game would come back one day.”
26-year old Fabregas left Arsenal in 2011 after spending eight years in north London in a deal that saw the Gunners pocket £35million. The Spaniard was a high priority transfer target for Manchester United during the summer but reiterated his commitment to Barcelona.
As Arsenal enjoy their stay at the top of the Premier League table and look to end their eight-year trophy drought, the Gunners received support from their former captain as Fabregas claimed that his ex club look genuine title challengers this season.
And Wenger expressed hope that his former star is right on this too. He added, “I hope he is right on the two sides. That he’ll come back shows he has kept fond memories of this club.”
