Michael Owen gives Wenger advice on team selection: 'Without him they lack pace'

Michael Owen may not have been watching Arsenal play Liverpool today, but he still had a message for Arsene Wenger.
Arsenal put their 5-1 defeat to Liverpool behind them by beating the Reds 2-1 in the FA Cup fifth-round on Sunday, with goals from Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Lukas Podolski.
The former was in particularly fine form, scoring the first, laying on the second and generally being a menace throughout. And it led one ex-player to hail his importance to the Arsenal team, even though he was not watching the match.
Michael Owen took to Twitter to stress that Arsene Wenger should stick with Oxlade-Chamberlain in the games to come, with his pace a vital factor in the absence of the injured Theo Walcott.
Given that Arsenal have lacked runners at times this season - and with Mesut Ozil struggling as a result - it is no surprise that the young winger is now regarded as a vital component following Walcott's long-term absence.
You can read Owen's tweets below:

Not watching the match but surely Wenger must stick with The Ox. Without him Arsenal lack pace in the absence of Walcott.

The modern game is about pace people. Doesn't have to come from every player but if nobody in forward positions has it you're in trouble.
