Why Arsenal are right to chase this £30m Spanish sensation:
As we all know, Arsenal have a problem in big matches. They don’t have the confidence to take on big teams and are thus unlikely to do particularly well in the silverware stakes. As far as I can tell, there are only two ways to fix this problem: 1) nurture world-class, big game players or 2) buy ready-made, big game players.
There’s plenty of talented young footballers forcing their way up the ranks at the Emirates, but I’m sure most fans will hope that Arsene Wenger picks option number two. Let’s call it the express option, as it could speed the Gunners along the path to success.
This brings me to The Metro‘s claim that Arsenal are considering making a surprise bid for Real Madrid’s £30m rated midfielder, Isco. If there’s any truth to these claims, it’s very exciting news indeed.
The Metro suggest that Isco isn’t entirely happy with Carlo Ancelotti’s training methods and that he hasn’t progressed as much as he would have liked during his short stay with Real Madrid.
