Arsenal Boosted By Diego Costa Buyout Clause
Arsenal fans hoping for another big-name signing have had their hopes raised after it was revealed that Diego Costa has a £32 million buyout clause.
According to The Daily Star, Atletico Madrid sporting director Jose Luis Perez Caminero has released the figure but insists that his star striker will not be leaving during the January transfer period.
"The player has a clause of €38 million and the big clubs in England know this," he told spanish website Marca. "He has re-signed a deal that is important. I am confident he will continue with us."
The Brazilian is one of the most in-form players in the world at the moment after scoring 19 goals in 17 La Liga games, and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will be facing stiff competition from Chelsea who are also looking at the striker.
Both Nicklas Bendtner and Theo Walcott are injured at the moment and Wenger will need to invest in a new striker if he wants to continue his assault on the Premier League.
