French connection: Wenger is a known admirer of the Les Bleus international
Here's all the latest stories coming out of the Emirates from today's newspapers and across the web...

Saint Calum

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has swooped for Southampton right back Calum Chambers in a £7million raid.
The Gunners have agreed a fee with Saints for the 19-year-old England youth capwho is now set to join the summer exodus from the south coast club.
Chambers will go to the Emirates to compete with newly-signed Newcastle and France defender Mathieu Debuchy for the right-back slot vacated by Bacary Sagna's free agent switch to champions Manchester City.
The move - which sees the teenager follow fellow Southampton youth products Gareth Bale, Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to north London - should now lead to the Gunners selling Carl Jenkinson.
We first reported Arsenal's interest in Chambers back in February , and Southampton let him go when he made it clear he was keen to join Wenger’s Champions League regulars.
The home-grown kid has played over 20 senior games already but Saints also have Nathaniel Clyne at his position and the blow is not too severe.

French connection

Arsenal could be about to step up their chase for Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin .
Arsene Wenger has been an admirer for some time and with Calum Chambers now as good as in the bag he could turn his attention to the Frenchman.
The BBC report that the Gunners boss is very keen with indications from the player's camp that he would be keen on a switch.
Bitter rivals Spurs are also interested but do not have Champions League football to offer him.
One stumbling block could be the fee in play with the Guardian suggesting Southampton want more than £27million.

Belgian waffle: Vermaelen has been linked with an Emirates exit this summer
The future of Thomas Vermaelen has been firmly up in the air all summer.
Manchester United are extremely keen to do a deal for him with the player himselfinterested in a switch to Old Trafford.
But the Sun suggest that Barcelona have emerged as rival suitors for his services.
The Catalan giants have added Jeremy Mathieu to their defensive ranks but new boss Luis Enrique wants more.
Despite Barca's interest the paper reports the Belgian favours a move to United to stay in the Premier League.

Italian job

With the Chambers deal nearly done another of the Gunners right back targets has spoken out.
Catania defender Gino Peruzzi was heavily linked with a move earlier in the week.
But speaking at a press conference the Argentine played down such reports.
"I heard about the interest of Arsenal, but the club has not told me anything," he said.
"I am calm and I think I will stay here. I am just thinking of Catania and I really want to bring the team back into Serie A."
