Arsenal and Liverpool face threat from Man Utd in race to sign Dortmund’s Marco Reus

Arsenal and Liverpool face a battle to land Marco Reus with Manchester United preparing a January bid in an effort to secure his services, according to reports.
The 25-year-old attacker has been tracked by a number of clubs with Real Madrid thought to be in pole position.
Reus had been caught in the crossfire of transfer speculation after German rivals Bayern Munich revealed that Reus has a release fee of £20m, which kicks in next year.
The Gunners made a late effort to sign Reus on transfer deadline day but were thwarted in their attempts, with boss Arsene Wenger prepared to make his move at the end of the season now.
But they could miss out with Man United preparing a January bid that eclipses his release fee in the hope of convincing Dortmund to do business, the Telegraph reports.
United boss Louis van Gaal has already splashed the cash this summer and wants more recruits as he looks to turn around his flagging squad.
