However, it is understood the player was keen to remain in Italy and used Arsenal's interest to broker a better deal for himself in Turin. Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur are also said to be interested in the player. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger sent a team out to Germany earlier this week to complete the signing of Schalke forward Julian Draxler. However, it looks like the Germans are holding out for a better fee.
