Arsenal are set key date to re-sign RVP, sooner than they may expect

Arsenal face an interesting proposition in their efforts to strengthen in the summer - the return of former captain Robin van Persie.

Not only could they acquire his services from Manchester United, they could do so far sooner than they may expect.
David Moyes is keen to get his transfer business sewn up early this summer, according to a report in the Manchester Evening News, and much of this depends on Robin van Persie.
The apparently wantaway Dutchman's future will shape United's transfer policy in the striking department for the summer, and Moyes is said to be adamant the saga will not drag on. If he is to be moved on, the Red Devils want to waste no time in signing a replacement.
This means if Van Persie is to be sold, he will be given his marching orders ahead of the World Cup, which begins on June 12.
The M.E.N. report states: "Moyes has drawn up a list of targets and is looking to get his business done before the World Cup kicks off on June 12.
"That would indicate lessons have been learned from last year’s last-minute shambles and that van Persie could be on his way sooner rather than later. To dispense with his services could be a career-defining move for Moyes."
Van Persie showed his discontent with his manager by shaking his head as he was substituted at the weekend, and has criticised the club's tactics previously, also reported to be unhappy at the Moyes' training methods and departure of Rene Meulensteen.
Being able to move him on early would allow United to focus on strike target without Van Persie's future hanging over them, while for interested clubs it would suit them too.
When he left the Gunners a week before the beginning of the 2012/13 season it left their preparations in dissaray, and United don't need such poor preparation blighting an important bounce-back campaign.
For Arsenal if they were able to convince Moyes to sell to them, which may be no easy task considering his stance regarding Rooney and Chelsea last summer, it would certainly suit them.

There would be plenty of time for him to re-adjust to the club, and heal open wounds with regard to the club he left two seasons ago, in terms of winning back fan support .
In almost three months time, Van Persie could be an Arsenal player again, and if not - they will know where they stand and move on any interest they did have to focusing on other targets. http://hereisthecity.com/en-gb/2014/03/10/arsenal-set-key-date-to-re-sign-rvp-sooner-than-they-may-expect/ Get the new iPad Air.
